This tank wagon carried compressed chlorine gas in a pressurised tank inside the wooden body. Chlorine is very dangerous stuff (it was used in World War One as a war gas), the wooden tank was intended to capture any leakage to protect railway staff. The post war type, lacking the wooden outer body, is discussed in Section K. I was not able to confirm the livery for this wagon so my model has been sold to a gas works, the filling dome inside the hatch has been replaced with a liquid rather than compressed gas type and it is used to carry naphtha.
